Eli Alerts is an anonymous service, which means the information that you supply when you register - your email address and zipcode - is never shared with anyone. It will not be sold, disclosed to others, or used for unsolicited mass mailings (spam). Your zipcode is used to determine which alerts are relevant to your location and your email address is used to delivery the alert to you. Alerts are not delivered to a list of recipients; instead alerts are emailed to each member separately via our automated mailer. This means that your email address will be the only email address in the "to" field when an alert is sent to you and no member is ever made aware of another member's existence. This design guarantees your anonymity and insures that your email address will never be used for purposes other than alert notification.
