Eli Alerts is an automated web service intended to help pet owners in the United States find lost pets as quickly as possible. Eli Alerts is a very simple concept - by providing an email address and zipcode, participants in the project will receive an Eli Alert via email when a pet owner in their area reports a pet missing. This is a free service, but its effectiveness depends entirely upon the participation of a large number people. Therefore it is imperative that we get as many people to join as possible. Our goal is to get 30 million members in the more than 29,000 zipcodes in the US.
If each participant would just get 2 other people to join, we could reach our goal in just 6 months.

Joining the Eli Alerts Network literally takes less than a minute and only requires you to register your email address and zipcode with us. That's it. No other personal information is required. Eli Alerts is an anonymous service, which means your email address will not not be sold, disclosed to others, or used for unsolicited mass mailings (spam). It is kept completely confidential and used only to deliver alerts generated for your zipcode.		If you've recently lost your pet, enter your zipcode below and click the continue button to verify that our network has registered users in your area. If there are members in your area you will then be prompted to enter a description of your pet, more specific location, and contact information. Your alert will be sent to any participants in your zipcode and any in adjacent zipcodes.
